How much does an AI SDR cost?

On 2026-10-17, public AI SDR pricing ran from about $0.04 per email (Explee) and $1.50 per person prospected (AiSDR) to $3,750 a month on an annual contract (11x). Artisan, Reply.io and Amplemarket sit in between at $250 to $600 a month on annual terms. Upper tiers are usually "contact sales".

Three things make the numbers hard to compare:

  • The units differ: emails, people, credits and active contacts.
  • Several vendor pages disagree with themselves.
  • At least one vendor's model appears to have changed in the past two weeks.

This guide lists what each vendor publishes, with the date we read it. Then it gives you a cost-per-meeting formula to fill in with your own numbers and sets the result beside public data on human SDR cost.

FoxKnock sells in this market and is in the table, so read its row with that in mind. Every figure comes from the vendor's own page unless the text says otherwise, and nothing here is a benchmark we measured. Prices are in US dollars as listed.

What the listed prices leave out

  • AiSDR: a warmed-up mailbox is a $33 extra for people without their own.
  • Artisan: mailboxes and phone numbers are billed separately in dollars, with no price on the pricing page. The human power dialer is $67 a seat a month on annual billing ($75 monthly).
  • Instantly: credits pay for lead data and AI agents, not sending. Sending needs an Outreach plan from $47 a month.
  • 11x: its pricing page says managed Gmail mailboxes, domain setup and warmup are included.

11x pricing: three starting prices on one page

11x publishes one tier. The Growth card on its Alice pricing page says from $3,750 a month, billed annually, with 2,000 new prospects a month, up to 5 users and managed mailboxes. Pro (5,000 prospects, up to 10 users) and Enterprise (10,000 or more) are custom-quoted. Julian, its inbound agent, is priced separately and is not covered here.

The same page gives three different starting prices:

  • Meta description (the text search engines show): plans from $2,000 a month, or $24,000 a year.
  • Growth card: $3,750 a month billed annually, or $45,000 a year.
  • FAQ: $36,000 a year, or $3,000 a month.

The pricing overview in 11x's docs, last updated 2026-08-27, says from $3,750. We cannot tell which figure is current, so get a written quote that states the term, the prospect count and the renewal cap.

The docs also list 30 days written notice for non-renewal and capped renewal increases, with no setup fee.

Artisan pricing: credits, not seats

Artisan's pricing page has two tabs. The Businesses and Enterprises tab shows Team (about 2,500 leads contacted a month), Scale (about 6,000) and Enterprise with no prices. The Startups tab has the self-serve plans:

PlanAnnual billingMonthly billingCredits a monthLeads contacted
Free$0$0300Exploration only; campaigns need a paid plan
Intern$250$28010KAbout 500
Employee$600$66025KAbout 1,250

Credits are the meter. An end-to-end campaign costs about 20 credits per person contacted. Email enrichment is 2 credits and phone enrichment 10.

On monthly plans, unused credits carry over until the end of the following billing period. Annual plans grant the full year's credits upfront, and unused credits at the end of the term do not roll over.

New accounts get a 10K-credit trial for 30 days, one per company, according to Artisan's FAQ.

Where AiSDR, Reply.io, Instantly and Explee pages disagree or leave gaps

  • AiSDR: a review that read AiSDR's site on 2026-10-04 listed Solo at $250, Explore at $900 and Scale at $2,500 a month, with quarterly contracts on the last two. Its author, Carly, sells a competing product. The page we read on 2026-10-17 shows pay as you go and team plans instead, and its markdown copy is dated 2026-10-15. The plans appear to have changed in between, and we cannot say when. The new page is also inconsistent: one FAQ answer says campaigns start from $7.50, another says from $3, and the page title says per person contacted while the body says per person prospected.
  • Reply.io: the Jason card on the Sales Outreach tab says from $500 a month in both billing views. The AI SDR tab's entry tier is $500 on annual billing but $800 on monthly billing.
  • Instantly: the pricing page lists credits from $47 a month for 1,500. Its help center also lists a $9 tier with 150 credits that the pricing page does not show. The help center says an AI reply costs 5 credits once generated, whether or not you send, edit or use it. A blog post dated 2025-10-31 says that in human-in-the-loop mode credits are used only when you approve and send. The help center is the more recent source, so plan on the stricter rule and set the monthly credit budget it describes.
  • Explee: the pricing page shows $30 for 750 emails and estimates about 1 meeting and 2 to 6 warm leads per $30, with no method given. The terms (updated 2026-10-16) bill usage at the per-email rate on your billing page, let it accrue as a postpaid balance up to a limit Explee sets, and allow rate changes on 7 days' notice. Treat $0.04 as the rate shown today, not a contract.

AI SDR cost per person reached

To compare, divide each price by the vendor's own volume unit. The units are not identical (a prospect, a lead contacted, an active contact), so treat this as a rough sort, not a ranking.

VendorArithmetic from published figuresPer person
AiSDRListed price$1.50
Artisan Intern$250 (annual) or $280 (monthly) divided by about 500 leads$0.50 or $0.56
Reply.io Jason Starter$500 (annual) or $800 (monthly) divided by 1,000 active contacts$0.50 or $0.80
11x Growth$3,750 divided by 2,000 prospects, or $3,000 (if the FAQ's $36,000 a year is right) divided by 2,000$1.88 or $1.50
Instantly AI Sales Agent5 credits per lead, so $47 buys 300 leads. Sending plan extra$0.16 plus sending

Explee prices per email, so multiply $0.04 by your sequence length. Amplemarket prices by users and contacts, not by people reached. FoxKnock prices by action, covered below.

AI SDR cost per meeting: a formula to fill in

Software cost is the easy part of cost per meeting. The hard part is the rate at which contacted people become meetings, which no pricing page can give you.

  • A: monthly fees for the AI SDR and what it requires (sending plan, data, dialer seats)
  • B: mailboxes, domains and add-ons the plan does not include
  • C: your monthly review time in hours, times what an hour costs you
  • P: people contacted per month
  • R: held meetings per person contacted, from your own pilot

Cost per held meeting = (A + B + C) divided by (P times R)

Here is a hypothetical with invented numbers, not benchmarks: A = $500, B = $66, C = 5 hours at $80 = $400, P = 600. The total is $966 a month.

  • At R = 0.5%, that is 3 meetings at $322 each.
  • At R = 0.25%, it is 1.5 meetings at $644 each.
  • At R = 1%, it is 6 meetings at $161 each.

Halving R doubles the cost per meeting, and doubling R halves it. Doubling the software fee only raises it by about half, to $489 per meeting at R = 0.5%. So run a small pilot and count only held meetings before you sign an annual term.

Vendor claims give some context. AiSDR's FAQ says teams using it have historically seen 1 to 3 booked meetings per 100 contacts, and calls these directional benchmarks. At $1.50 per person, 100 contacts cost $150, so fees alone would be $50 to $150 per booked meeting if that held for you. Booked is not held, and neither that range nor Explee's estimate is independent.

For scale, the Bridge Group's 2025 survey of 351 B2B companies (78% North America, 83% B2B SaaS, median revenue $47M) reports a median human SDR quota of 10 held meetings a month, with 60% of reps at quota. A quota is a target, not output.

A simple test for whether a meeting is worth buying: the share that become opportunities, times your win rate, times gross profit per deal, should beat your cost per meeting.

AI SDR vs human SDR cost

Public data gives a rough range for the human side:

  • Pay: RepVue (US, verified reports over the past 12 months, page data updated 2026-10-17) shows a median base of $60,000 and median on-target earnings (OTE) of $88,000, with 56.9% of reps attaining quota. The Bridge Group reports a median OTE of $80,000: $55,000 base and $25,000 variable.
  • Employer cost: the Bureau of Labor Statistics (June 2026, private industry workers in sales and related occupations) puts wages and salaries at 75.3% of employer compensation cost. Benefits, including paid leave, insurance, retirement and payroll taxes, make up the other 24.7%.
  • Our arithmetic: dividing OTE by 0.753 gives about $106,000 (Bridge Group) to $117,000 (RepVue) a year for one SDR who earns full OTE. At base pay only, $60,000 becomes about $80,000. This applies an occupation-wide ratio to SDR pay, so treat it as an estimate.
  • Management share: the Bridge Group reports 6.4 SDRs per leader and a manager OTE of $146,000, about $22,800 per SDR, or $30,300 with the same loading. That makes roughly $137,000 to $147,000 a seat with a manager's share, before software, data and recruiting.
  • Vendor claim: 11x's pricing FAQ says a fully loaded SDR costs $8,000 to $12,000 a month in salary, benefits, tooling and management ($96,000 to $144,000 a year) and cites no source. The public-data figures overlap that range.

Entry fees for the bundled plans in the ledger run from about $3,000 a year (Artisan Intern, annual billing) to $45,000 (11x at $3,750 a month), against roughly $106,000 to $117,000 for one SDR's compensation.

A fee is not a cost per meeting, though. Someone still has to take the meetings, and usually has to set the audience and review what goes out, so count that time in C above. The Bridge Group lists AI SDRs as a separate category for the first time in 2025, at 1% of respondents. We found no independently audited cost-per-meeting figures for either side.

How FoxKnock prices this

FoxKnock is not an autonomous AI SDR. It finds and researches companies, drafts emails whose specific claims must cite a researched fact, and sends from your own mailboxes. By default you review each email first, and automatic sending has to be earned (see approval-first outreach). So the price follows actions, not a seat or a promised volume.

At default credit prices (1 credit is $0.01 at list price, and prices may change; current prices are on the pricing page):

  • Accepting a discovered company: 15 credits
  • One contact: 5 credits
  • A verified email: 11 credits (10 to find, 1 to verify)
  • An AI-personalized first email: 20 credits
  • A standard research report: 225 credits
  • Emails from templates you write: free

That adds up to 51 credits ($0.51) to reach one person with a first email, or 276 ($2.76) if you also run a standard research report on their company. This is not like-for-like with the table above, because mailbox and domain costs are yours.

Failed lookups cost nothing, and credits roll over. If an email FoxKnock found hard-bounces, the 10 credits for finding it are refunded automatically (the 1-credit verification is not). You set a monthly spending cap. The Analytics page reports credits spent and cost per positive reply and per meeting, counting only meetings a person marks as booked.

Mailboxes connect over SMTP and IMAP with an app password: Google Workspace or any SMTP and IMAP mail server. Microsoft 365 is limited. Microsoft no longer accepts passwords (Basic authentication) for IMAP in Exchange Online and is retiring it for SMTP AUTH, so a Microsoft 365 mailbox may not connect or may not sync replies. FoxKnock does not offer Microsoft sign-in.

FoxKnock launched in October 2026, so it has no customer results and no meeting rate to put in the formula above. Fill that in from your own pilot, whichever tool you choose. For other options, see our list of AI SDR alternatives.

Questions to settle before you pay

  • What exactly is the unit (a prospect found, a person contacted, an active contact, a credit), and does a bounced, duplicate or paused contact still count?
  • What is not included: mailboxes, domains, phone numbers, dialer seats, data, onboarding?
  • What happens to unused volume? Artisan annual credits do not roll over, Instantly credits expire after 2 months or 1 year, and AiSDR says rollover depends on the subscription. Our note on credit-based pricing traps covers the pattern.
  • What are the term, the notice period and the renewal cap? 11x's docs list 30 days written notice and capped renewal increases.
  • Who approves what is sent, and what happens when nobody does? The AI SDR buyer's checklist has ten questions on this.

If you would rather test the arithmetic than sign a contract, FoxKnock's free plan gives you 500 one-time credits with no card, added when you verify your email. At default prices that is about 45 verified emails, and the cost of each action is shown before you click. Create a free account and run a small pilot with your own numbers.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an AI SDR cost?

An AI SDR costs from about $0.04 per email to $3,750 a month, depending on the vendor. On 2026-10-17, public entry prices ran from Explee (about $0.04 per email) and AiSDR ($1.50 per person prospected) to 11x ($3,750 a month on an annual contract). Artisan starts at $250 a month, Reply.io's Jason at $500 and Amplemarket at $600, all on annual terms. Most upper tiers are quote-only.

How much does 11x cost?

11x's published starting price is $3,750 a month on an annual contract, for its Growth tier with 2,000 new prospects a month and up to 5 users. The same page also says $36,000 a year in its FAQ and $2,000 a month in its meta description, so ask for a written quote. Pro and Enterprise are custom.

How much does Artisan cost?

Artisan's self-serve plans start at $250 a month on annual billing ($280 monthly) for Intern, with 10K credits and about 500 leads contacted. Employee is $600 ($660 monthly) for 25K credits. A Free plan has 300 credits. Team, Scale and Enterprise are priced by sales, and mailboxes and phone numbers are billed separately.

How much does AiSDR cost?

AiSDR lists pay as you go at $1.50 per person prospected as of 2026-10-17, with team plans for 1,000 or more contacts a month sold through sales. A review dated 2026-10-04 listed Solo $250, Explore $900 and Scale $2,500 a month, so articles written before the change quote those older plans.

Is an AI SDR cheaper than a human SDR?

On fees alone, yes: the bundled plans in our ledger cost about $3,000 to $45,000 a year, against roughly $106,000 to $117,000 for one US SDR's compensation (our arithmetic from RepVue, the Bridge Group and BLS). Cost per meeting is a different question. We found no independently audited meeting rates, and someone still has to review output and take the meetings.

What is the cheapest way to try an AI SDR?

Among the vendors in our ledger, the smallest commitments are the pay-as-you-go options: Explee at about $0.04 per email and AiSDR at $1.50 per person prospected, with no subscription. Instantly credits start at $47 a month but need an Outreach plan to send. Cheapest to start is not cheapest per meeting, so run a small pilot and count held meetings.

How do I calculate AI SDR cost per meeting?

Add the tool fee, the mailboxes and data the plan leaves out, and the value of your review hours, then divide by meetings held. Meetings held equals people contacted times your own meeting rate. Measure that rate in a short pilot, because every vendor estimate is the vendor's own.
